About the cidermakers
Ashridge made their name with their much-lauded Sparkling Vintage Cider, made using
the traditional method, or “méthode champenoise” (as of Champagne).
All fruit is hand picked from South Devon orchards. Ashridge regularly win awards
at the main cider competitions held every year.
Owner Jason Mitchell’s own orchards in Staverton, near Totnes, Devon are certified
organic and contain trees up to 60 years old.
The apples are left til fully ripe for flavour, unlike large commercial makers.
This is very much a craft cidermaker.
